New arrival: Morelo Palace Liner S-Way

New arrival: Morelo Palace Liner S-Way

One of the most luxurious (and expensive) motorhomes ever to arrive in New Zealand has officially landed, with the keys to the $1.4 million Morelo Palace Liner S-Way now handed over to its new owners.

Crafted in Germany, the Palace Liner is the third flagship Morelo imported by Zion Motorhomes, but this one makes history as New Zealand’s first arrival built on the revolutionary Iveco S-Way chassis. It’s quieter, more refined and packed with the latest driving technology, including digital camera mirrors, a 360-degree camera system and a premium truck cab designed for long-distance comfort.

At 11.5 metres long and weighing 18 tonnes, this Morelo is every bit a luxury apartment on wheels. There’s underfloor heating, leather upholstery, a spacious slide-out living area, a 200-litre fridge, dishwasher, washer-dryer, a sumptuous bedroom and a 2m-high glass shower. In terms of technology, every aspect from lighting, heating and entertainment systems can be controlled from a tablet or smartphone.

Perhaps the biggest talking point is the unexpected rear garage, large enough to swallow a Toyota Yaris and two e-bikes, meaning the owners no longer need to tow a vehicle behind them as they did with their previous motorhome.

Power comes from an 8.7-litre, 400hp Iveco diesel matched to a 12-speed transmission, while full air suspension and hydraulic levelling ensure the drive is every bit as comfortable as the accommodation.

For those who believe the journey should be every bit as luxurious as the destination, this impressive rig truly embodies that.
