This is so simple, and so refreshing after a walk or a bike ride. Add vodka or whisky to turn this non-alcoholic drink into a very special cocktail.
Ingredients:
4 large lemons (slightly soft
if possible)
1 cup lemon juice
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
3 additional cups water
Pinch salt
Fresh mint and lemon slices, to serve
Method:
In a small pan, heat sugar and 1 cup water until sugar is dissolved. This is your simple syrup. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Pour lemon juice into a jug filled with ice and stir through the cooled simple syrup. Add the rest of the water and the salt, stir well and serve with fresh mint.
