The NZMCA Motorhome, Caravan & Leisure Show takes over Wolfbrook Arena in Christchurch on 18 and 19 May
Mark your calendars for the South Island’s biggest outdoor lifestyle show. The two-day event will feature a diverse range of exhibitors, including more than 20 that are brand-new to the show this year.
Visitors will be able to visit their favourite motorhome and caravan brands, view the latest innovations, and be the first to see new releases and try new products.
Tickets to the show are on sale now and cost $16 for single-entry/one-day tickets or $28 for a multi-day/multiple-entry pass and are best bought online. This year, show ticket sales at the entry will be cashless. If you opt to purchase tickets at the ticket office, payment can be made via Eftpos or PayWave only. Those with online tickets can walk through the express entry and save time by skipping the queues. Tickets can be purchased at nzmotorhomeshow.co.nz.
Show growth
Event manager Michele Connell says she’s proud to see the show grow: “This year, the show is 20% bigger, the outside space has grown, the Event Park & Stay has grown again, and with more than 20 brand-new exhibitors to the show this year, there’s more variety than ever before.
“We have all your favourite brands as well as so many new ones – it really is the ultimate motorhome, caravan, and outdoor lifestyle showroom.”
The outside area will feature more exhibitor sites than ever, alongside the dedicated Accessories Marquee, which will have everything from sweet treats to fishing drones, electronics, and holiday destinations.
TrailLite Group is back as a show partner, hosting experts in the TrailLite Group Theatre. Sessions will cover everything from heating your motorhome to staying connected while on the road. These have been scheduled over two days to teach and inspire. Plan your weekend with the complete programme below:

RV Super Centre: Preventative Maintenance (Saturday and Sunday)
A seminar on how to best care for your motorhome.
11am
RV Supplies: Diesel heating (Saturday and Sunday)
Pros, cons, dangers, advantages, installation options, etc. – this seminar will help you with choosing the correct-sized heater for your RV and dispel the rumours and misunderstandings about diesel heating. Choosing the correct installation position is important for good performance and long service life. The seminar will also explore the different options available, including additional ducting outlets, heater controllers, and the option to heat water.

Battery Management with REDARC (Saturday and Sunday)
Looking after your auxiliary batteries is essential to ensure they give you a long service life. But how do we do this? Amperage, voltage, state-of-charge, charge, discharge – what does it all mean, and why does it matter? Find out with Greg Mitchell from REDARC Electronics as he explains how to get the most out of your batteries and save money and time in the long run.

This seminar is to help you avoid making an expensive purchase mistake by buying the wrong motorhome or caravan for your intended purpose. TrailLite consults hundreds of customers every year who are feeling overwhelmed with the number of products on the market and are anxious about buying the wrong product for their lifestyle. TrailLite’s goal with this informative seminar is to clarify your needs and ensure you buy once and buy right. Everything you need to know to make that happen will be included in this seminar.

Thanks to Selwyn District Council, the show visitors will receive an Eco Bag on entry to keep their show goodies together.

The NZMCA Event Park & Stay has space for up to 200 certified self-contained vehicles, so book ahead and make a weekend of it. Located at Addington Raceway, the cost is $10 cash (to be paid to the NZMCA parkers on arrival) for the entire weekend. Spaces are limited.
There’s also an entertainment option on Saturday night for those staying the weekend. Grab your friends and enjoy a buffet dinner with a complimentary beverage for $65 per person. The evening is hosted in a private Event Park & Stay visitors lounge at Addington Raceway. Bookings are essential and open now at nzmotorhomeshow.co.nz.
