Mark Baker in Auckland, and Rob Ibbetson in Christchurch, both joined the company in November 2017. They are looking forward to showing off the Carado, Bürstner and HYMER motorhomes that SmartRV distributes exclusively in New Zealand.

Mark has a soft spot for motorhomes after a childhood full of family holidays spent travelling the country in them. His love for the carefree style of travel continues today.
“My wife and I actually honeymooned in one. We had an amazing time exploring the Far North,” he says.
After a career spanning sales, management and commercial real estate, Mark says he joined SmartRV to be part of a special moment in people’s lives.
“It’s the genuine drive to give people an unforgettable experience. The focus is to make sure we do everything possible to ensure the customer loves their holiday or loves their vehicle.”
Mark says he has been struck by SmartRV’s strong company culture, believing the team’s customer service is second-to-none.
“The after-sales care is remarkable. You really do become part of a family,” he says. Originally from Gloucester in England’s west, Rob Ibbetson arrived in New Zealand six years ago.

He spent his first two years here travelling the country by van and has a background in building and real estate. Rob says he is already enjoying SmartRV’s positive environment for staff and customers alike.
“Everyone has been so welcoming. And for customers there’s no pressure from anyone; if you just want to come and have a nosey you’re more than welcome,” he says.
