Jayco has taken luxury caravanning to a whole new level with the introduction of a personal virtual assistant, Amazon Alexa, now standard in their signature Jayco Silverline range.
“The introduction of Alexa means simple voice commands such as ‘Alexa, turn on lights’,‘Alexa, what’s the weather forecast?’ or even ‘Alexa, change my TV channel’,” says Jayco Australia CEO Garry Moore.
Technology innovation is a key theme of the Jayco Silverline 2019 range, with new additions such as a Winegard Wi-Fi extender that captures Wi-Fi signals within a significantly increased range and provides maximum security and mobile internet speed with 4G capability.
“Your caravan is an extension of home, just on wheels, and there’s an expectation of seamless technology available in your home, car or caravan,” says Moore.
“Jayco is your partner on the road, and we are anticipating your needs along the way. “The smart technology implementation into Jayco caravans is just the start of what’s to come.
In the future we will continue to listen and respond to what our customers need in their caravan to make their holiday moments seamless.”
Other new technology features include:
- 12V electric awning operated by a phone app
- A world-first in a production RV, a 360-degree camera for ease of towing and parking
- Exclusive JHub phone app for monitoring water and power levels
“Technology is not just all about the gadgets,” continues Moore. “Jayco has invested in its engineering capability as well, with the introduction of the next generation of Jayco Endurance chassis for easy towing and better fuel economy, and the exclusive purpose-built J-Tech 2.0 suspension which is compact, durable, and reacts better to Australian road undulations.”
