The three-day event opened with a restoration reveal of the very first motor caravan ever registered with the NZMCA, a 1928 REO Speedwagon.
From line dancing and indoor bowls to the great ‘Motorhomes Got Talent competition’, the event was packed with activities, Friday to Sunday. Paw Town was a popular attraction, with dogs of all shapes and sizes coming together for the love of Frisbees and treats.
The SPCA set up shop and brought out their own mascot, Panda, who was right at home among the action.
Saturday afternoon threatened rain, but with an exhibition hall full of RV related goodies to look at – from insurance to pots and pans – there was plenty to see and do until the weather eventually sorted itself out.
The event was another well organised success for the NZMCA, evidenced by the evenings coming to a close to the sound of clinking wine glasses and roaring laughter.
