Gratia, a new social travel app, which launched in New Zealand on 22 May provides a platform for locals and travellers to explore New Zealand and interact with those who share their interests.
Gratia, which is available for free on both iOS and Android, has been developed and is owned by Gratia Software Limited. The app uses content from websites such as Yelp and Tourism New Zealand along with additional content developed with its partners such asAlps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail, Bay of Islands Information, Adventure Living, AJ Hackett, and Queenstown Life. Several regional tourism organisations are also supporting the platform.
Gratia users can use their Facebook login to sign into the app to browse through the activities, build a schedule, share their favourites, and connect with their friends and other Gratia users.
“Gratia has established relationships with travel and tourism organisations across New Zealand, which helps us bring the best content from around the country to the app,” Gratia founder Chris Ewing says.
“We are seeking more partnerships throughout New Zealand to allow users an even greater range of activities. For businesses and organisations, it’s the perfect platform to showcase their offerings without large development costs.”
The Gratia app is available for locals and travellers to find New Zealand content from anywhere in the world.
