The countdown to the world’s largest trade fair for motorhomes and caravans is on. The Caravan Salon in Dusseldorf will take place from 26 August to 3 September 2017 and will see the international caravanning sector get together to look at the biggest range of caravans on display.
The largest trade fair
With a large choice of brands, models, and layouts on display, no other trade fair gives visitors a large selection. Spanning 13 halls, the Dusseldorf Caravan Salon not only gives visitors a chance to check out the diversity of RVs on display but also browse through the range of accessories, technical equipment, fittings, awnings, motorhomes, campsites, and travel destinations.
More than 130 caravan and motorhome brands and more than 2100 recreational vehicles across different price categories will be showcased over an exhibition space measuring 214,000sqm.
“Caravan Salon is the number one fair and trend barometer for the industry,” director Stefan Koschke says. “The outlook is superb and we are looking to this year’s event with optimism.”
New features at the Dusseldorf Caravan Salon
A new ‘accessories paradise’ will be created in Hall 7 that will be dedicated to over-the-counter sales of caravanning and camping accessories. Hall 5 will see an exhibition of awnings and roof-top tents along with folding caravans.
Recreational vehicles in all sizes
Renowned international manufacturers will present their latest generation of recreational vehicles. The luxury category will also see a wide range catering to every customer.
StarterWorld
Both beginners and seasoned caravanning enthusiasts will find interesting facts and everything they need to know about vacationing in a recreational vehicle at the ‘StarterWorld—Discover Camping & Caravanning’. Stefan explains that StarterWorld will provide hands-on tips and recommendations on vehicle types, travel routes, and the right choice of campsites.
Fun for the whole family
Apart from its display of a wide range of leisure vehicles, Caravan Salon is also known for its entertainment programme that revolves around mobile vacationing.
The all-new Mountainbike-Parcours is something to look forward to. In addition to performances by professional riders, visitors can also have a go at the Pumptrack challenges. Prior registration is required.
The Adventure Park will feature a big bouncy castle and trampoline for kids. And for the young ones aged four and above, the Workers’ Welfare Organisation will have a wide range of games at its stand.
At the Dream Tours Cinema Janette Emerich, Uwe Hamm and Konstantin Abert will report daily on their travels to distant countries in multi-vision shows with breath-taking images.

The second weekend (1 to 3 September) will have an outdoor fair TourNatur in Hall 6. In addition to presenting more than 5000 hiking destinations, 275 exhibitors will offer the latest equipment and expert advice on hiking and trekking.
