The Kon-Tiki 669 sets the bar high with its sleek looks, motoring efficiency and the quality and understated opulence buyers have come to expect from the respected European brand. The 669 has an impressive list of features, including leather upholstery, fixed island bed, duel fuel central heating both en-route and on site and two forward facing travelling seats. The living areas are comfortable, with a range of luxury equipment for cooking, heating and entertaining. The roomy kitchen has been refreshed with new stainless steel look appliances and features a 175-litre fridge/freezer. Lighting is by energy saving soft white LEDs, prolonging the life of the twin batteries, and Swift has added to the energy reduction by preparing the roof and wiring for solar panel installation. All washrooms feature cassette toilet with independent tank and a separate sealed shower cubicle with washbasins neatly integrated into a useful cupboard unit. Security of the 669 is through a “Hal Locate” GPS tracking system. Driving Heading out on the road, the 669 comes on a Fiat X2/50 AL-KO Super low-line chassis with extra wide rear track for stability, and the improved road handling is enhanced by a low centre of gravity. Fiat has matched up its chassis perfectly with the 3L 160 Multijet diesel engine mated with the Comfort-matic automatic gearbox. It has excellent fuel economy for a vehicle of this size.
