Quando Folding Electric Bike

The Quando folding electric bike is one of the lightest in its class, yet it punches well above its weight when it comes to performance. This peppy little pocket rocket eats up hills like a motorcycle, but it requires no fuel and you don't need a motorcycle licence to ride it. All of these attributes taken alone provide a good enough reason to buy one. But it gets even better when you remember that the 19kg bike folds away for transport or storage. And when you remove the battery and seat-post (easy to do), the carry-weight drops by over 5kg. This makes it manageable for almost anyone to stack up and stowaway. That's right; in around the same time it takes to (safely) dismount, the Quando can be folded into a compact package of around 35cm square. That package comprises 34cm in length, 15cm wide and 29cm high. The Yellow Pages used to take up more room than that. And the small (20cm) wheels allow for amazing speed. At 25kph you'll be zapping along at the maximum legal speed, slowing down a little for the hills, perhaps, but – depending on the load – not a great deal. Nor will you be sacrificing your normal exercise. Comparative studies between conventional and electric bikes routinely show that people who own electric bikes use them more. And you can use pedal-assist whenever it suits and only employ the electric boost when required. The Quando uses the latest battery and charger technology available, using a Lithium-Ion battery – the lightest battery pack you can buy – which makes sense for a portable bike. The fully-charged battery will give the rider a range of up to 35km or 40 to 60km on pedal assist mode. For more information ph 03 545 1122 or 021 051 1666. Or email jace@electricbikehub.co.nz.
