Perfect Pavlova

When it comes to desserts, don’t mess with perfection – grab a pav base from the supermarket and pile on the deliciousness.

SERVES 4-6

Ready in 30 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 store-bought pavlova
  • 250g thickened cream
  • 3 drops vanilla extract
  • 3 teaspoons brandy (optional)
  • 1 tub each strawberries, blueberries, cherries, raspberries, any summer fruit
      you like

METHOD:

  1. Empty thickened cream, vanilla extract and brandy into a bowl. Stir until mixed, then pile on top of the pavlova (don’t worry if it spills to the side – it’s still just as tasty!).
  2. Wash fruit, and cut larger berries into segments. To make the strawberry top, find a strawberry with a good stem still intact, and use a sharp knife to cut through almost to the top. Press lightly with your hand to create the fan.
  3. Pile fruit on top of your pavlova, drizzle with runny honey and serve.
