Makes one dozen
A cross between a cocktail and an entree, these have a lil’ fiery kick with the decadent addition of your favourite oyster. When making the bloody mary mix, make sure it is well chilled before making the shooters. These little beauties are a great way to kick off a dinner party or are the perfect answer to a much needed Sunday morning kick start. Leave out the vodka if you are feeling virtuous.
Ingredients
- 500ml tomato juice
- 2 tsp chipotle hot sauce
- 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp horseradish paste
- ¼ tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp flaky sea salt
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Juice of 1 lime
- 90ml vodka
- Periperi salt
- 12 fresh oysters
Method
- In a large pitcher, mix first nine ingredients well. Set aside in fridge to chill until ready to use.
- Using the juicy side of a lemon or lime, rub along the lip of one dozen shot glasses. Roll the edge of the glass in Periperi salt.
- In each shot glass, place one raw oyster.
- Top the shot glass with the bloody mary mix.
