Cocktail lovers will know there’s currently no trendier drink on the scene than the Negroni. This recipe can be made straightaway, however if you have time, infuse a bottle of gin with rosemary for a few days prior to making your drinks for a refreshing cocktail that tastes of the outdoors.
Ingredients
For the rosemary infusion
- 1 bottle dry gin
- 4 stalks fresh rosemary
For the cocktail
- Ice
- 45ml rosemary-infused gin
- 45ml Campari
- 45ml sweet vermouth
- Orange peel to garnish, if desired
Method
To make your rosemary gin infusion, rub rosemary between your fingers to release the aroma. Place into a bottle of dry gin, invert a few times to combine, reseal and leave for four days.
When you’re ready to make your drink, pour the rosemary-infused gin into a glass over ice. Add the Campari and vermouth, and stir well until the glass is cold. Garnish with orange peel if using and serve.
