Dark and stormy cocktail

Dark & Stormy

Hopefully just the name of the drink, not the weather outside, this famous cocktail originated in the Caribbean, land of rum and sailors. Go for a spiced dark rum for best flavour – technically you should use Gosling’s Black Seal Bermuda Rum. Don’t be tempted to swap ginger beer for ginger ale – trust me, it doesn’t work!.

INGREDIENTS

  • 60ml dark spiced rum
  • Juice of 1 lime, freshly squeezed
  • 200ml ginger beer
  • Lime wedges, to garnish

METHOD

  1. Fill your glass with ice. Add rum and lime juice, and top with ginger beer.
  2. Garnish with a lime wedge and serve.
