Gin and tonic with cucumber

Cool As A Cucumber G&T

Adding cucumber to your gin gives it a fresh, mellow flavour which harmonises beautifully with floral gins. Some gins even use cucumber in the distillation process – a perfect option for this recipe.

SERVES 2

INGREDIENTS

  • 90ml gin (we used Hendrick’s)
  • 750ml cucumber tonic water
  • 1 fresh cucumber
  • 1 lime

METHOD

  1. Pour gin and cucumber tonic water over a large ice cube.

  2. Cut lime in half, and squeeze juice from one half into the drinks.

  3. Slice your cucumber thinly, and thread onto a cocktail stick that’s slightly longer than your glass. Place cucumber thread into your drink, and serve with a slice of lime.
