B52

This eye-catching shot is believed to have originated in the 1970s by a bartender and fan of the band the B52’s. There’s no ice, so you might want to refrigerate the spirits before serving.

Ingredients

  • 30mls coffee liqueur
  • 30mls Baileys Irish Cream
  • 30mls Grand Marnier

Method

Pour the coffee liqueur into a shot glass (it’s the most dense, so needs to be poured in first). Using the back of a teaspoon to control the pour, slowly layer the Baileys on top of the coffee liqueur. Using a clean spoon, finish the drink by pouring the Grand Marnier over the Baileys.
