First Look: Dethleffs Exclusiv 760 DR

The Dethleffs brand, established in the 1930s, has mastered the ability to blend luxury and quality with strength and high payloads – a combination not typically seen. The large, wide-body, tandem-axle Exclusiv 760DR includes a 6’9” island bed with a Swiss-made 7-zone EvoPore HRC WaterGel mattress. The mid-bathroom layout with two multi-position doors means both the shower and toilet/bathroom can be accessed separately or connected to create a large en suite across the width of the ’van. The spacious kitchen features a pullout pantry, enormous illuminated soft-close drawers, an innovative bench extension and a Dometic 190L three-way automatic fridge/freezer with oven/grill. The six- to eight-seater lounge, with leather upholstery, is set around a generous hydraulic height-adjustable dining table. Remote-controlled, dimmable, zoned LED lighting throughout creates an ambience that rivals a five-star hotel room. The 70cm extra-large door and lowered coupe entrance combine for an extremely comfortable, easy access. All of these amenities rarely seen in a caravan add up to a vehicle which is one of the best available today. The caravans are available in the North Island exclusively through Central RV in Taupo and, in the South Island, from DeLuxe Group in Blenheim. For more information, phone (07) 378 0620.
